Movie Review: Rise of the Guardians

A couple of days ago Mr Liew and I went up to Genting (a nice place to chill out, with theme parks and a casino around!) with his family. Btw, Mr Liew is my boyfriend! haha…

Since we have been there a couple of times and I’m afraid to on to some of the rides, we ended up with 3 movie marathons, which all happened to be in 3D! LOL Luckily I wore contacts that day! =)

So, the first movie of our choice is Rise of the Guardians! 🙂

Think of the avengers with some magic sparkles and a twist of childhood icons: Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, Tooth Fairy, Sandman (my fav!) and of course the main character, Jack Frost! Seeing these fairy tale characters being given life and talk to each other is like a dream come true to me. If you are a sucker to children’s movie and animations as I am, then you will find yourself gripped to the story and enjoyed the movie, and you might even shed a tear or two just like I did. =p But the plot is quite typical I would say so if you are heading to watch this movie, I would recommend you to just drop down all your expectations and immerse in the movie like a kid then maybe you will enjoy this movie? =)

Another plus point if you choose to watch this movie is that you will got to hear some some sexy voices, as they have quite an interesting and strong casts, namely Jude Law, Alec Baldwin, Hugh Jackman and Chris Pine (as Jack Frost, and he is quite good looking in real life as well!! =p)

In overall this movie is a nice and cozy Christmas movie to watch with your family, just in time for the magical festival! =)
